Roundtable on the Inclusion of the Roma Community through Sport in Bucharest

Red Deporte participated in a roundtable on the inclusion of the Roma population through sport in Bucharest, Romania.
On March 28, Fare and the Policy Center for Roma and Minorities brought together NGOs and Roma experts from 18 countries and organized this event to celebrate International Roma Day. Together, we shared knowledge and experiences and, through discussions and workshops, explored how sport can be used as a tool for community development.

 

All partners agreed to take action and create an advocacy group on the discussed topic, commissioned a report through Fare to highlight successful Roma sports initiatives and document methodologies, committed to engaging with the EU to develop and support activities, and to explore partnerships to back effective grassroots programs.
