TEAM
Red Deporte was founded in 1999, being a pioneering NGO in the field of sport for development and peace at an international level.
The origin of our entity is in Zambia, in 1997, thanks to the previous work of its founding team, led by Carlos de Cárcer, in a program for the integration of girls orphaned by HIV-AIDS, using sport daily as a recreational tool. and educational in the community.
In 1999 our entity was registered in Spain and we soon began to carry out our first development cooperation programs in Sierra Leone and Nicaragua. Professionals from international development cooperation, sports and education, among others, progressively joined.
In 2002 we began to enhance our awareness-raising work in Spain and in 2004 to work on integration and intercultural programs. In 2003 our work in the United States began, by registering and obtaining 501(c) status.
Thanks to the support of many people and institutions, Red Deporte has made a significant contribution in recent years to promoting social change, in more than 20 countries; with the best pages still to be written.
