Collaboration with Getafe Football Club

Getafe CF is a very special club, born in a municipality of Madrid that, for most Spaniards, was virtually unknown before the club’s rise to the first division. The true History of Getafe CF began with its debut in Spain’s top football league in 2004. Since then, it has played in finals and participated in various European competitions, remaining in the top tier of Spanish football for twelve seasons.

In 2016, Getafe CF made a significant contribution to our programs in Cameroon and Spain by donating a large amount of sports equipment, which was warmly received by our organization, as well as by the coaches, educators, and young people who will benefit from it.

This club, the third most important in Spain’s capital, has a long-standing partnership with Red Deporte. It has now been ten years since the organization of ‘Teaming Up for Integration’, an extraordinary event that featured a visit from the U.S. team D.C. United. Both teams played a match in support of Red Deporte, and throughout the week, numerous awareness and intercultural education activities were held, supported by players from both Getafe and D.C. United. At Red Deporte, we are proud to have the support of such a committed and community-minded Madrid-based club.
