At the end of June, Red Deporte Foundation took part in the Pass’Sport Festival in Grenoble, France, a community event that celebrates sport, inclusion and social cohesion by bringing together hundreds of people of all ages for a day of sporting, cultural and recreational activities.
Our participation took place alongside Big Bang Ballers, a French organisation with whom we have been collaborating for the past two years through the Welcomin’ Club project, a European initiative that promotes gender equality, social inclusion and opportunities for young people in vulnerable situations through sport.
The Pass’Sport Festival is much more than a sporting event. It is an open community celebration where families, children, young people and people from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to discover new sports, take part in interactive workshops, enjoy cultural activities and share a space built around the values of inclusion, respect and participation. The day concludes with concerts and festive activities, making the festival a true celebration of community life.
During the festival, Red Deporte presented its mission and experience in the field of sport for development, while also delivering an inclusive football activity designed to demonstrate how sport can be adapted to ensure that everyone can participate, regardless of their age, gender, experience or abilities.
