New Training in Football, Entrepreneurship, and Disability

Football for All – Leadership Programme was created with the goal of empowering people with disabilities through sport. This programme aims to be the first academic course specifically designed to promote employability, entrepreneurship, and networking among people with disabilities in the world of football.

All participants will have at least one type of disability, and our objective is to increase employability and entrepreneurship opportunities for people with disabilities in the football industry.

The course is supported by three main academic partners: Trinity College Dublin, Nova University of Lisbon, and IUN International Football Institute – Munich; along with renowned football organisations such as the Portuguese Football Federation, Benfica Football Club, and the Football Association of Ireland.

The programme includes in-person classes in Lisbon from November 26 to December 7, 2018, where our students will have the opportunity to learn from top professors provided by our academic and football partners.

The training is complemented by the implementation of a project: during the first 6 months of 2019, each student will be required to develop a local initiative related to football and disability, ensuring a lasting and positive impact in their communities.

The aim is to ensure that football also has a place for the largest group in our society — more than one billion people with disabilities, representing 20% of the world’s population.

Applications for the programme are open from August 1 to October 26, 2018. For more information, visit
