Meeting of the Sport ID Project Partners in Madrid
In mid-May, Red Deporte organized a meeting with its partners from the European Sports Identification project in Madrid.
Sport for Intercultural Dialogue (Sport ID) is the collaborative partnership of European organizations aimed at creating awareness-raising activities for amateur athletes, coaches, and educators working in fields related to sports for solidarity and social inclusion. Red Deporte met with its partners in the welcoming setting of El Pardo, near Madrid, to discuss the progress of the project’s implementation. During the program, we also sought to promote multicultural dialogue in an unconventional way through martial arts, specifically Tai Chi and kickboxing. Sports and physical activity can be a powerful tool to enhance intercultural dialogue and combat discrimination and racism.
Next month, Red Deporte will present its own sports program designed to improve multicultural dialogue and meet the expected outcomes of this project. Thanks to all our partners: ONMIC Opera Nazionale Mutilati Invalidi Civili, ASINITAS ONLUS, COMMUNITY ACTION DACORUM, CENTRE FOR ADVANCEMENT OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN EDUCATION (CARDET), LEARNING CENTER FOR YOUTH (LCYOUTH), Sport Club Integra, 100% AVENTURA – ASSOCIAÇÃO DE DESPORTO E NATUREZA, PERSPECTIVES.
